The thesis puts forward an in-depth analysis of two cases of Insertion Companies in Catalonia, their management and their Internet work. It begins by setting out the subject, the research concept, the literature referred to, research questions and the methods used, followed by a section clarifying concepts that are important to the thesis, such as poverty, social exclusion in developed countries and the major role that unemployment plays in social exclusion. The second part refers to players with a history of fighting against poverty in developed countries. This section looks at the role of international organisations, the role of states, public administrations, social economy, the third sector, companies and savings banks in the battle against social exclusion. The thesis then turns to new players supporting social inclusion, in the areas of leadership, entrepreneurship, the government and ecosystem and network management. Here, it looks at social entrepreneurs and inclusive businesses, social insertion companies and the problems facing social entrepreneurs in Catalonia. Next, it looks at APRISE EI and EI ADAD- LŽENCANT in some depth. It begins by going through the basic historical information, following the alignment of the business with social inclusion, the definition of the business model, the basic data concerning its internal and Human Resource management, information about the ecosystem and social and economic value creation in the company. A comparative analysis is made of the two cases and the sector in general, focusing on the basic historical data of the inclusive business, the alignment between the business and inclusion work and the business model, cross referencing what is said in the literature. There is also a comparative analysis of the basic information concerning the organisation's internal and human resource management in both cases, again with cross-references to the literature. A further comparative analysis is made of the data on the ecosystem accompanying inclusive business in both cases, cross referencing the literature, and a comparative analysis of the information concerning social value creation in the organisation and economic value creation in both cases, along with cross references to the literature. The thesis also goes through the evolution of second level structures in the sector (Europe, Spain and Catalonia). It also looks at what the insertion companies think of working on the Internet, and what they expect from it, and what their relationships are and how they are managed. The thesis ends with some general conclusions about the analyses made.
